In an effort to strengthen classroom teaching and introduce global standards, the Telangana School Education Department has selected 28 teachers for an international exposure programme. The initiative is designed to help educators learn from advanced education systems and apply those insights back home.

The selected teachers, along with education department officials, will be part of a 40 member delegation scheduled to visit Finland, Singapore, Vietnam and Japan between April 20 and 24. The tour focuses on understanding modern teaching methods, school management practices and innovative learning environments.

Participants were chosen through a structured process that began at the district level. District collectors recommended candidates, after which a final list was prepared by the department. The group includes headmasters, school assistants and secondary grade teachers from multiple districts across Telangana.

Officials believe that such exposure will play a key role in improving the overall quality of education. By observing international best practices, teachers are expected to adopt new approaches that make learning more effective and engaging for students.

Preparations for the visit are already underway. Authorities have asked district officials to inform selected candidates and confirm their availability. A virtual orientation session has been arranged to guide participants on travel procedures, including visa requirements and documentation.

The programme reflects the government’s broader vision of upgrading the education system by investing in teacher development. By connecting local educators with global ideas, Telangana aims to bring meaningful changes into its classrooms.
