The Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test TG EDCET 2026 notification has been officially issued, bringing relief to thousands of aspiring teacher trainees across the state. The entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admission into two year BEd programmes offered by education colleges in Telangana.
The examination will be conducted under the supervision of Kakatiya University on behalf of the state government. Officials confirmed that the entire process, including the entrance test, will be carried out in computer based test mode to ensure transparency and efficiency.
Online applications for TG EDCET 2026 will begin from March 23 and remain open until April 18 without a late fee. Candidates who miss the regular deadline can still apply with a late fee until April 22. The entrance examination is scheduled to be held on May 12 in two separate sessions.
To be eligible for TG EDCET 2026, applicants must possess a Bachelor degree with a minimum of 50 marks. Authorities have advised candidates to carefully review eligibility conditions and complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid last minute issues.
