Motorola has started rolling out the stable Android 16 update to several smartphones across Edge Razr and Moto G lineups bringing new features better performance and a refreshed user experience.

Motorola users finally have something to cheer about as the brand has begun rolling out the stable Android 16 update to a wide range of smartphones. The update promises a smoother interface stronger security and features that make even older models feel refreshed.
While Motorola is often seen as slower than rivals when it comes to major software updates this time the company has surprised users. Android 16 rollout places Motorola among the early brands to push the latest version and the update has already reached more than a dozen devices.
The rollout is being done in phases which means not every user will receive the update at the same time. Availability may vary depending on region and carrier but phones listed under the supported models will eventually receive the update.
Several premium devices from the Edge series are among the first to receive Android 16. These include Motorola Edge 60 Pro Edge 60 Fusion Edge 60 Stylus Edge 50 Pro Edge 50 Ultra Edge Fusion and Edge 2025. Foldable phone users are also covered with Razr 60 Razr 60 Ultra Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra receiving the update.
Mid range users are not left behind either. The Moto G lineup getting Android 16 includes Moto G86 5G Moto G86 Power 5G Moto G75 5G Moto G67 Power 5G Moto G Stylus 2025 Moto G Power 2025 and Moto G 2025. With this update these devices gain improved stability and the latest Android features.
Alongside the stable rollout Motorola is actively testing Android 16 on several other devices through its beta program. Phones currently in testing include ThinkPhone ThinkPhone 25 Edge 60 Edge 60 Neo Edge 50 Edge 50 Neo Edge 40 Pro Edge 2024 Edge Plus 2023 Razr 40 Razr 40 Ultra Moto Pad 60 Pro Moto G96 5G Moto G85 5G Moto G67 5G Moto G56 5G Moto G55 5G and Moto G35 5G.
The beta program allows selected users to try Android 16 before the public release. Interested users need to register on the Motorola Community website update their device details and opt in for feedback network participation. Once approved the beta update is delivered via OTA.
Motorola does not publish exact rollout timelines so patience is required. Users eager to check availability can manually look for updates by opening Settings selecting System and tapping Check for updates. If Android 16 is ready for the device it will appear automatically.
With this rollout Motorola is showing a stronger commitment to long term software support giving users more reasons to stick with the brand.
