Apple iPhone 18 Launch Timeline May Shift as Price Leak Sparks Early Buzz

Early leaks hint at delayed launch plans for Apple iPhone 18 alongside iPhone 18e in 2027 while pricing and features surface, raising curiosity among buyers planning upgrades soon

Speculation around the next generation iPhone is already gaining momentum, even though its official debut is still far away. Fresh leaks suggest that Apple iPhone 18 may not follow Apple’s usual September launch cycle, catching many fans off guard.

According to emerging reports, the standard version of the iPhone 18 could arrive much later than expected. Instead of launching alongside its premium siblings, the base model is now rumored to debut in early 2027, possibly together with a new variant referred to as iPhone 18e. Meanwhile, the high end lineup including Pro models and a potential foldable version could still be unveiled earlier in 2026.

Pricing details, though unofficial, have also started circulating. The 256GB variant of the iPhone 18 is expected to be priced close to Rs 89900 in India. This places it slightly above current generation pricing, hinting at upgrades that may justify the increase. However, industry watchers caution that these figures remain speculative until Apple confirms them.

On the hardware front, leaks point toward a significant performance boost. The device is likely to feature Apple’s next generation chipset, widely believed to be the A20 processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM. Such a configuration would position the phone strongly for heavy multitasking, gaming, and AI driven features.

Display improvements are also expected. Reports indicate a 6.3 inch Super Retina screen with very high brightness levels, potentially reaching up to 3000 nits. This could enhance outdoor visibility and overall viewing experience, especially for video streaming and gaming.

Camera capabilities appear to be another focus area. The iPhone 18 may come equipped with a dual rear camera system featuring two 48 megapixel sensors, one primary and one ultra wide, both supported by optical image stabilization. For selfies and video calls, an upgraded front camera is also anticipated.

Software could play a major role in shaping the user experience. The device is expected to run on a future version of iOS, possibly integrating advanced AI features. Voice assistant improvements powered by next generation AI tools are also being discussed, suggesting a more intelligent and responsive ecosystem.

Despite the growing number of leaks, Apple has not officially confirmed any of these details. With the launch still years away, plans may evolve further. For now, these early insights offer a glimpse into what could be one of the most anticipated smartphone releases in the coming years.
