BSNL Brings Back Freedom Plan With Affordable Data and Calling Benefits
BSNL has reintroduced its Freedom Offer for new users with 60GB data unlimited calling daily SMS benefits and free 4G SIM support available until the end of June this year

State owned telecom company BSNL has once again launched its popular Freedom Offer, bringing an affordable prepaid option for users looking for low cost mobile services. While the company had originally introduced this special recharge at a symbolic price of just one rupee last year, the updated version now comes at a price of Rs 51. Even with the revised cost, the telecom operator has retained almost all the earlier benefits, making it one of the most talked about prepaid plans among budget conscious customers.
The Freedom Offer comes with a validity period of 30 days and provides users with 2GB of high speed 4G data every day. This means subscribers can enjoy a total of 60GB data during the complete validity cycle. After the daily data limit is exhausted, internet speed will continue at 40kbps, allowing basic browsing access without additional charges.
Apart from internet benefits, the recharge pack also includes unlimited voice calling across all networks in India. Customers can make local as well as STD calls without worrying about call limits or extra deductions. BSNL is also offering 100 SMS per day under this plan, taking the total count to 3000 SMS for the entire month.
The telecom provider says the revised Freedom Offer is specially designed for new users joining the BSNL network. Existing subscribers will not be able to activate this recharge. Along with the plan, customers are also being offered a free 4G SIM card, adding more value to the package.
According to the company, the offer is available from May 22 and will continue until June 30. Interested users can visit nearby BSNL retail outlets or Common Service Centres to get the recharge and SIM connection activated. Information related to the plan is also available through the company website and the official selfcare application.
Industry observers believe the move is part of BSNL’s strategy to attract fresh subscribers in the competitive telecom market where private operators continue to increase tariff prices. The low entry cost and bundled benefits could appeal strongly to students, first time smartphone users and customers in smaller towns looking for affordable connectivity.
With unlimited calls, daily internet access and SMS support packed into a low cost recharge, the latest Freedom Offer has quickly caught attention among mobile users searching for economical prepaid plans during a period of rising telecom expenses.
