Lava Bold 2 5G Debuts in India With AMOLED Display and 12GB RAM at Budget Price
Lava introduces Bold 2 5G in India targeting budget buyers with AMOLED display 12GB RAM support MediaTek processor 50MP camera clean Android experience and first sale scheduled on March 19.

Indian smartphone brand Lava has expanded its budget 5G lineup with the launch of the new Lava Bold 2 5G. The company is positioning the device as an affordable option for users who want modern features and a stylish design without spending heavily on a smartphone.
The handset has been introduced with a starting price below the Rs 13000 mark which makes it one of the more competitive entries in the entry level 5G segment. Lava says the phone has been designed for buyers who want a balanced combination of performance appearance and essential features at a lower price point.
The first sale of the Lava Bold 2 5G will begin on March 19 at 12 noon. The device will be available exclusively through Amazon and will be offered in two color options including black and white. During the launch period customers will be able to purchase the smartphone at a special price of Rs 12999 after applying available offers.
Despite the aggressive pricing the device comes with hardware specifications that are usually seen in more expensive phones. The Lava Bold 2 5G features a 6.67 inch Full HD Plus AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate designed to deliver smooth scrolling and improved visual clarity. The screen includes a punch hole cutout for the front camera and slim bezels around the edges.
For security and convenience the smartphone is equipped with an in display fingerprint sensor. Physical controls such as the power button and volume keys are placed along the side frame while the bottom edge houses the speaker grille SIM slot microphone and charging port.
Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 5G processor which runs at speeds up to 2.6GHz. The phone comes with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Lava also includes support for virtual RAM expansion allowing users to extend the total memory up to 12GB when needed.
The company has highlighted the software experience as one of the major advantages of the device. The phone runs on Android 15 and offers a clean interface without preinstalled bloatware advertisements or unwanted notifications which aims to deliver a smoother and distraction free user experience.
In the camera department the Lava Bold 2 5G features a rectangular rear camera module placed horizontally on the back panel. The main highlight is a 50 megapixel AI powered primary camera using a Sony sensor. For selfies and video calls the device includes an 8 megapixel front camera positioned within the punch hole display.
Battery life is supported by a 5000mAh battery which comes with 33W fast charging support through a USB Type C port. Lava says the smartphone is built to handle everyday use while maintaining a slim profile measuring just 7.55mm in thickness.
The device also carries an IP64 rating which offers protection against dust and water splashes. With its lightweight build slim design and balanced specifications the Lava Bold 2 5G is aimed at users who want an affordable yet capable 5G smartphone for daily use.
