Motorola Edge 70 Fusion Plus Launches With 50MP Selfie Camera and Strong Waterproof Protection

Motorola has introduced the Edge 70 Fusion Plus with a 50MP selfie camera, Snapdragon chipset, 144Hz AMOLED display and strong IP68 and IP69 water resistance in its growing smartphone lineup.

Smartphone maker Motorola has quietly expanded its premium smartphone lineup by introducing the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion Plus. The new device has been launched initially in Brazil and brings several upgrades compared with the standard Edge 70 Fusion model.

The phone stands out for its strong camera setup and durability features. Motorola has equipped the device with a triple rear camera system led by the Sony LYTIA 710 sensor. The main camera offers 50 megapixels with optical image stabilization and Ultra Pixel technology designed to improve photo clarity.

Alongside the main sensor, the rear module includes a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera offering a 122 degree field of view. The system also adds a 10 megapixel telephoto lens capable of delivering three times optical zoom and up to ten times digital zoom. This configuration aims to provide flexibility for different types of photography.

On the front, the smartphone includes a powerful 50 megapixel selfie camera capable of recording 4K video. Motorola is positioning this feature as one of the key highlights for users who enjoy high quality video calls and social media content creation.

The display is another major attraction of the device. The smartphone features a 6.8 inch Super HD AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1272 by 2772 pixels. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate along with HDR10 Plus technology, promising smooth visuals and vibrant colors for gaming and video streaming.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor paired with the Adreno 810 GPU. The model currently listed comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, ensuring strong performance for multitasking and demanding apps.

The phone runs on Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI interface layered on top. The software aims to deliver a clean user experience with added customization features.

Battery performance is another key focus of the device. Motorola has included a 5200mAh battery that supports 68W TurboPower fast charging. This combination is designed to offer long usage time with quick recharging when needed.

Connectivity options include support for 5G and 4G networks along with Bluetooth 6.0, WiFi 6E, NFC, GPS and a USB Type C port. The smartphone also supports dual SIM functionality with both Nano SIM and eSIM compatibility.

Durability has been strengthened with IP68 and IP69 ratings, providing resistance against dust and water. The device also features a glass fiber reinforced polymer back panel along with an in display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for secure unlocking.

Motorola has launched the phone in two color finishes Pantone Orient Blue and Pantone Blue Surf. In Brazil, the device is priced at BRL 2969, which roughly converts to about Rs 52900.

For comparison, the standard Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is already available in India with a lower starting price. That model begins at Rs 26999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, with higher configurations available for users seeking more memory and storage.

While Motorola has not yet confirmed whether the Edge 70 Fusion Plus will launch in India or other global markets, the device reflects the company’s ongoing push to strengthen its presence in the competitive mid premium smartphone segment.
