Motorola Raises Prices of Popular Smartphones in India, Buyers Face Higher Costs
Motorola has increased prices of select smartphones in India by up to Rs 2000 affecting budget and mid range models as rising component costs and supply challenges impact pricing strategies

Motorola users in India are facing a price hike across several popular smartphones, with the company quietly revising rates on key models. The move impacts devices across both budget and mid range categories, making them slightly more expensive for new buyers.
Among the affected devices is the Moto G35, which has seen a price increase of up to Rs 1000. The 4GB and 128GB variant that was earlier available at Rs 11999 is now priced at Rs 12499. Similarly, the 8GB version has moved up from Rs 12999 to Rs 13999, reflecting the updated pricing.
Another device that has become costlier is the Moto G57 Power, known for its large battery and reliable performance. The 8GB and 128GB variant of this smartphone now costs Rs 15999, up from its previous price of Rs 14999, marking a Rs 1000 increase.
The most significant price revision has been applied to the premium Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. Its base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage has jumped from Rs 20999 to Rs 22999. Other variants, including higher storage and RAM options, are now priced even higher, with increases going up to Rs 2000.
The revised prices are already visible across online platforms, meaning customers planning to purchase these devices will now have to pay more than before. This comes as a surprise to many, especially since the company has not made a formal announcement regarding the changes.
While Motorola has not officially clarified the reason behind the hike, industry trends suggest that rising component costs and ongoing supply chain issues could be major factors. Similar pricing adjustments have been observed across the global smartphone market as manufacturers deal with increasing production expenses.
For buyers, the timing of the increase may influence purchasing decisions, particularly in the competitive budget and mid range segments where even small price changes can impact demand.
