New Smartphones From Motorola Poco and Lava Set for First Sale Next Week

Multiple budget and mid range smartphones will go on sale in India next week offering large batteries high RAM options and introductory pricing across online platforms for value focused buyers

A fresh wave of smartphone launches is about to hit the Indian market, with several new models from leading brands scheduled for their first sale next week. Buyers looking for budget friendly devices or feature packed mid range options will find a wide range of choices as companies push competitive pricing and aggressive specifications.

Among the most talked about releases is the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G, which is set to go on sale starting April 29 via Flipkart. Positioned in the premium mid segment, the device offers up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It comes with a large AMOLED display and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset. The phone also focuses heavily on durability, featuring IP68 and IP69 ratings along with a military grade build certification.

Camera performance is another highlight for Motorola’s latest device. It includes a triple rear camera setup led by a 50 megapixel Sony LYT 710 sensor with optical image stabilization, while the front camera also packs a 50 megapixel sensor for high resolution selfies and video calls. Backing the hardware is a 6500mAh battery with fast charging support, aiming to deliver extended usage for power users.

On the more affordable side, Poco C81 and Poco C81x will be available from April 27, also through Flipkart. These models target entry level buyers but still bring large displays and solid battery capacities. The Poco C81 features a 6.9 inch screen and a 6300mAh battery, while the C81x comes with a slightly smaller display and a 5200mAh battery.

Both Poco devices are powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset and support dual SIM functionality. The standard C81 runs on a newer Android version with extended software support, while the C81x ships with a slightly older version but still promises multiple updates and long term security patches. In terms of cameras, both phones include a 13 megapixel rear sensor, with the C81 offering a dual camera setup.

Adding to the list is the Lava Bold N1 5G, which will see its updated variant go on sale from May 1 via Amazon. The new version brings 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, with support for virtual RAM expansion up to 12GB. Lava continues to focus on affordability, offering the device at an introductory price aimed at budget conscious users.

The Lava phone runs on Android 15 and features a 6.75 inch display. It is powered by the Unisoc T765 processor and includes a 5000mAh battery. While its camera setup is modest compared to higher end models, it still provides essential functionality for everyday photography and video calls.

With brands like Motorola, Poco and Lava competing across price segments, the upcoming sales reflect the growing intensity in India’s smartphone market. From high performance devices to budget friendly options with large batteries and decent RAM, the next week offers something for nearly every type of buyer.

As online sales begin, early discounts, exchange offers and bank deals are expected to further sweeten the deals, making this a key window for consumers planning their next smartphone upgrade.
