Nothing Phone 3 Update Brings Smarter AI Voice and Cleaner Interface

Latest Nothing OS update introduces AI powered voice typing, live activity tracking, refined notifications and system improvements while enhancing stability and adding April 2026 security patch for users

Users of Nothing Phone 3 are beginning to receive a new software update that focuses heavily on artificial intelligence and usability improvements. The rollout of Nothing OS version B4.1-260414-1846 is happening in phases, meaning some users may see it later than others over the coming days.

One of the most noticeable additions in this update is a feature called Essential Voice, designed to make voice typing more practical in everyday use. Built directly into the keyboard, it allows users to dictate messages or notes with improved clarity. The system automatically removes filler words, corrects repeated phrases, and even adjusts spoken corrections in real time. It can also detect when a user wants to translate speech and instantly insert the translated version into text fields. Frequently used phrases such as email addresses can be saved and inserted using voice commands, making communication faster and more efficient.

The update also introduces a feature called Live Updates, which aims to keep users informed without constantly opening apps. Supported applications such as Google Maps can now display real time activity directly on the lock screen, notification panel, and the device’s signature Glyph Interface. This allows users to track ongoing tasks like navigation or deliveries at a glance, although availability depends on the app and region.

On the design front, Nothing has refreshed parts of the interface to make it cleaner and easier to navigate. Notifications have been reorganized with a more structured layout, and the system can now suggest which alerts should be marked as essential based on user behavior. This change is aimed at reducing clutter and helping users focus on what matters most.

A new lock screen clock design has also been introduced, adding a more personalized visual touch. The design, originally seen in a community edition device, features a custom typeface and a subtle animation when the screen wakes. It reflects Nothing’s continued effort to involve its user community in shaping the interface experience.

Alongside these visible changes, the update brings several behind the scenes improvements. Video calls on third party apps are expected to run more smoothly, and issues related to the notification panel and quick settings have been addressed. The company has also refined the eSIM setup process, making instructions clearer for users setting up digital SIMs.

Security remains a key focus as well, with the inclusion of the April 2026 security patch. Nothing says overall system stability has been improved, aiming to deliver a more reliable experience across daily tasks.

As the update continues to roll out gradually, users who have not yet received it are likely to get a notification soon. The latest changes highlight Nothing’s push toward combining minimal design with practical AI features that enhance how people interact with their smartphones.
