OnePlus 10 Pro 5G Gets New Update in India as Price Drops Significantly

OnePlus rolls out March 2026 update for its older flagship, improving performance and security, while the device also sees a major price cut making it more attractive for buyers

OnePlus has rolled out a fresh software update for its older flagship, the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G, bringing new improvements for users in India. Originally launched in March 2022, the smartphone continues to receive support, reflecting the company’s extended update policy for its premium devices.

The latest update, based on OxygenOS 16, introduces enhancements across multiple areas including system stability, camera performance, and connectivity. Users can expect smoother overall performance along with improved mobile network compatibility. The update also integrates the March 2026 Android security patch, strengthening device security against potential vulnerabilities.

Interestingly, this rollout is happening in phases, which means not all users will receive it at the same time. Those who have not yet received a notification can manually check for the update through the device settings. Early reports indicate that the update has not introduced any major issues so far.

While the update adds value for existing users, the smartphone has also become more appealing to new buyers due to a sharp price drop. The base variant, which was originally priced at Rs 66999, is now available for around Rs 49999 on select platforms, marking a reduction of nearly Rs 17000. This makes it a competitive option in the premium segment even after a few years since launch.

The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G was among the brand’s flagship devices and still offers strong hardware. It features a 6.7 inch OLED display with LTPO technology and a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering a smooth and high resolution viewing experience. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

In terms of photography, the smartphone comes with a triple camera setup that includes a 48 megapixel primary sensor, a 50 megapixel ultra wide lens, and an 8 megapixel telephoto camera. For selfies, it offers a 32 megapixel front camera. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery, supporting reliable all day usage.

The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G has already received its final major Android update, marking the end of its OS upgrade cycle. However, the company has committed to continuing security and stability updates until 2027, ensuring that users can safely use the device for the next few years.

With continued software support and a significantly reduced price, the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G remains a strong contender for those looking for a premium smartphone experience without paying flagship launch prices.
