OnePlus Nord 6 Gets Major Price Hike as Buyers React to Sudden Increase

OnePlus has increased the price of its Nord 6 smartphone by up to Rs 5000, making the premium mid range device costlier despite its flagship level features and massive battery.

OnePlus buyers planning to purchase the Nord 6 may now have to spend significantly more, as the company has quietly raised the smartphone’s pricing in India. The sudden increase has surprised many customers because the device was earlier considered one of the strongest value options in the premium mid range segment.

The revised pricing is already visible on major online shopping platforms. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, which was launched at Rs 38999, is now priced at Rs 41999. Meanwhile, the higher end 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model has become even more expensive. Earlier available at Rs 41999, the device is now listed at Rs 46999.

Although OnePlus has not officially revealed the reason behind the increase, industry observers believe rising manufacturing costs and expensive component imports may have contributed to the move. Fluctuations in global supply chains and premium hardware additions are also being seen as possible reasons for the updated pricing strategy.

Despite the hike, the smartphone continues to attract attention because of its high end specifications. OnePlus Nord 6 features a large 6.78 inch 1.5K AMOLED display that supports a 165Hz refresh rate. The smooth screen experience is expected to appeal strongly to mobile gamers and users who spend long hours on entertainment and scrolling.

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, which is designed to handle gaming, multitasking and AI driven features efficiently. OnePlus has also included support for 165FPS gaming, positioning the smartphone as a performance focused device for demanding users.

Camera performance remains another major highlight of the Nord 6. The smartphone comes with a 50 megapixel Sony LYTIA primary sensor supported by Optical Image Stabilization for steadier photos and videos. Alongside it, users also get an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera for broader landscape and group shots. On the front, the company has provided a 32 megapixel selfie camera aimed at content creators and social media users.

Battery capacity is one of the biggest talking points around the device. OnePlus has equipped the Nord 6 with a massive 9000mAh battery, which is unusually large for this segment. The smartphone also supports 80W fast charging, allowing users to quickly power up the device without waiting long hours.

The smartphone operates on Android 16 based OxygenOS 16 and includes several AI powered tools such as Circle to Search and Google Gemini integration. OnePlus has additionally promised four years of Android updates and six years of security updates, which may help buyers looking for long term software support.

For durability, the company has included IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering protection against dust and water exposure. With its upgraded pricing and flagship style features, the OnePlus Nord 6 is now entering a more competitive premium smartphone space where buyers may compare it with higher end alternatives before making a decision.
