Oppo F33 Series Set for India Launch with Focus on Advanced Selfie Camera
Oppo confirms April 15 launch for F33 Pro 5G and F33 5G in India, highlighting premium selfie features, durable build quality, new colors and upgraded camera technology for users

Oppo is gearing up to expand its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of two new devices under its F series. The company has officially confirmed that the Oppo F33 Pro 5G and Oppo F33 5G will make their debut in the country on April 15, signaling another push into the competitive mid range segment.
The announcement was made through the company’s social media channels, where Oppo also teased several key features of the upcoming Pro variant. With a growing focus on camera centric smartphones, the brand appears to be targeting users who prioritize photography, especially selfies.
One of the biggest highlights of the Oppo F33 Pro 5G is its front camera. The device is set to feature a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle selfie shooter with a 100 degree field of view, a specification that could appeal to content creators and group photography enthusiasts. On the rear, the phone will include a 50 megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2 megapixel depth sensor, aiming to deliver balanced photography performance.
Oppo is also adding software enhancements to improve camera output. Features such as AI Portrait Glow, along with multiple lighting effects including natural light, rim light, flashlight and studio light modes, are expected to enhance portrait shots. The phone will further support dual view video recording and a colorful front fill light feature, giving users more flexibility while shooting videos and selfies.
In terms of design, the Oppo F33 Pro 5G is expected to sport a rectangular camera module on the back, housing dual lenses along with a ring LED flash. The physical layout places the power button and volume controls on the right side, while the left side remains clean, offering a minimalistic look.
Durability is another area where the Pro variant stands out. Oppo has confirmed that the device will come with an IP69K rating, providing resistance against dust and water. This level of protection is relatively uncommon in this segment and could be a key selling point for buyers looking for a more rugged device.
The smartphone will be available in three color options including Misty Forest, Starry Blue and Passion Red, giving users a variety of aesthetic choices. Meanwhile, the standard Oppo F33 5G is also expected to launch alongside the Pro model, though detailed specifications for the base variant are yet to be fully revealed.
On the software front, the device will run on Android with Oppo’s ColorOS skin on top, offering a customized user experience. Additional camera hardware details include an f 2.0 aperture, 18mm focal length and autofocus support, indicating a focus on both clarity and versatility.
With the official launch date now confirmed, all eyes are on Oppo as it prepares to introduce the F33 series in India. The combination of high resolution selfie capabilities, durable design and camera centric features suggests that the company is aiming to capture attention in a crowded smartphone market.
