POCO Increases Prices of Popular 5G Smartphones by Up to Rs 3000 Across India

POCO has quietly raised prices of several M8 and X8 Pro series smartphones featuring massive batteries military grade durability and premium specifications leaving buyers paying significantly more than launch pricing

POCO buyers in India are now facing an unexpected price hike on some of the brand’s most popular 5G smartphones. The company has quietly revised the pricing of multiple variants in the POCO M8 and POCO X8 Pro lineup, with certain models becoming costlier by as much as Rs 3000 compared to their original launch prices.

The updated prices have already started appearing on major online shopping platforms, surprising many users who were planning to purchase these devices for their powerful specifications and aggressive pricing. Both smartphone series are known for offering large 6500mAh batteries, military grade durability, and strong overall performance in their respective segments.

The biggest jump has been seen in the POCO M8 lineup. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, which was originally launched at Rs 18999, is now available for Rs 20999. Meanwhile, the 8GB and 128GB model has received a direct increase of Rs 3000, taking its price from Rs 19999 to Rs 22999. The top end 8GB and 256GB version has also become more expensive, now selling at Rs 24999 instead of its earlier Rs 21999 launch price.

The POCO X8 Pro series has also not been spared from the revision. The 8GB and 256GB model now costs Rs 34999, up from its original launch price of Rs 32999. Similarly, the 12GB and 256GB variant has moved to Rs 37999 after receiving a Rs 2000 hike.

POCO has also increased the pricing of the premium X8 Pro Max series. The 12GB and 256GB version now carries a price tag of Rs 44999, compared to its earlier launch price of Rs 42999. The top 12GB and 512GB storage model has climbed from Rs 46999 to Rs 48999.

Despite the increase in pricing, these smartphones continue to attract attention because of their hardware package. The devices are equipped with large batteries designed for long usage sessions, durable builds certified for military grade toughness, and feature rich specifications targeted at gamers and power users.

Industry observers believe the price revision could be linked to rising component costs, currency fluctuations, or supply chain pressures affecting the smartphone market globally. However, the company has not officially explained the reason behind the sudden increase.

For customers who were waiting for discounts or planning to upgrade, the new prices may come as disappointing news. Still, the POCO M8 and X8 Pro series remain competitive options in the premium mid range and upper mid range smartphone categories due to their combination of battery life, durability, and performance focused features.
