Redmi 15A 5G India Launch Nears With Big Battery and Flipkart Sale Confirmed
The upcoming Redmi 15A 5G is set to debut in India on March 27 with a large 6300mAh battery, smooth display, dual camera setup and confirmed availability on Flipkart platform

Redmi is steadily expanding its smartphone lineup in India, and its next release, the Redmi 15A 5G, is already generating attention ahead of launch. The company has officially confirmed that the device will be unveiled on March 27, positioning it as an affordable yet feature packed option for buyers looking to upgrade to 5G connectivity.
Adding to the excitement, a recent banner listing has confirmed that the smartphone will be available for purchase through Flipkart after launch. Earlier, the device had only appeared on the brand’s official India website, but this update clearly signals a wider online retail rollout, making it easier for customers across the country to access the device.
The Redmi 15A 5G is expected to stand out with its massive 6300mAh battery, which could appeal to users who prioritize long lasting performance. Alongside this, the phone is tipped to feature a display supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz, promising smoother scrolling and a better viewing experience for everyday use and entertainment.
In terms of design, the smartphone follows a simple yet modern approach. It is expected to feature a flat rear panel with a rectangular camera module that houses two sensors and an LED flash. The front is likely to include a waterdrop style notch and slightly thick bezels, keeping it in line with budget segment aesthetics. Physical buttons such as the power key and volume controls will be placed on the right side.
Photography will be handled by a dual rear camera setup, led by a 32 megapixel AI main sensor. While detailed camera specifications are still under wraps, the setup suggests a focus on delivering decent imaging capabilities within its price range.
The company is also planning to offer the device in multiple color options, including black, blue and pink. One of the variants, particularly the pink version, is expected to feature a textured finish, adding a bit of style to the otherwise minimal design.
Under the hood, Redmi is expected to equip the device with an octa core 5G chipset, although the exact processor details have not yet been disclosed. This indicates that the phone will target entry level 5G users, balancing performance with affordability.
The Redmi 15A 5G is likely to sit below the Redmi 15 5G in the company’s portfolio. For context, the Redmi 15 5G launched in India in August 2025 at a starting price of Rs 14999, offering a larger display with a higher refresh rate and a bigger 7000mAh battery, along with a Snapdragon chipset.
With its official launch just days away, the Redmi 15A 5G appears set to strengthen Redmi’s presence in the budget 5G segment, offering practical features and a focus on battery life that could resonate with a wide range of users.
