Priced starting at Rs 11499, the device is positioned as a value driven option for users seeking modern features without stretching their budget.
One of the standout elements of the new Redmi device is its large 6300mAh battery, designed to comfortably last through extended usage. The phone also supports 15W wired fast charging along with reverse wired charging, allowing users to power up other gadgets when needed. This feature is rarely seen in this price category, giving the device an edge in everyday convenience.
In terms of performance, the smartphone runs on an octa core Unisoc chipset paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Users can further expand storage up to 2TB via microSD card. The device operates on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, and the company promises up to four years of Android updates along with six years of security patches, highlighting a strong push toward long term reliability.
The phone also integrates AI driven tools such as Google Circle to Search and Gemini features, reflecting the growing importance of artificial intelligence even in entry level devices. This ensures users get access to smarter search and productivity tools without needing a premium handset.
On the display front, Redmi is emphasizing size and smoothness. The device features a 6.9 inch HD plus LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 800 nits. The screen is also equipped with TÜV Low Blue Light certification, aimed at reducing eye strain during prolonged usage.
For photography, the Redmi A7 Pro 5G includes a dual rear camera setup led by a 32 megapixel primary sensor, accompanied by a secondary lens. On the front, an 8 megapixel camera handles selfies and video calls, catering to basic imaging needs for everyday users.
Connectivity options cover a wide range including 5G, 4G LTE, Wi Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, USB OTG, and a USB Type C port. The device also carries an IP52 rating, offering protection against dust and minor water splashes.
The smartphone is available in multiple color options including black, mist blue, and sunset orange. It will go on sale starting April 15 via Flipkart and the official Xiaomi online store, with two storage variants catering to different user needs.
