Samsung Introduces Seamless File Sharing Between Galaxy and iPhone with New Update
Samsung brings cross platform file sharing to its latest Galaxy devices, allowing users to easily transfer photos videos and documents between Android and iPhone ecosystems with improved convenience and speed

In a move that could reshape how users share files across devices, Samsung has announced a major update with its latest Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup. The company is introducing enhanced cross platform file sharing, making it easier for users to send content between Galaxy devices and Apple products.
The new feature builds on Samsung’s existing Quick Share system and now supports functionality similar to AirDrop. With this integration, users can transfer photos, videos, and documents more seamlessly between different ecosystems, addressing a long standing limitation for those using multiple platforms.
The rollout of this feature begins on March 23, initially targeting users in South Korea. Samsung plans to expand availability gradually to other regions, including Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Japan, and Latin America in the coming phases.
This development follows a broader industry trend toward cross platform compatibility. Google had earlier introduced similar functionality with its Pixel lineup, signaling a shift toward more open and user friendly ecosystems. Samsung’s latest move appears to align with this direction, offering greater flexibility to its users.
At present, the feature is limited to the Galaxy S26 series, but the company has indicated plans to extend it to more devices in the future. Details regarding which models will receive the update are expected to be shared later.
Alongside this announcement, Samsung has quietly introduced a limited time price drop for the Galaxy S26. Originally launched at a higher price point, the device is currently available at a reduced price through offline retail channels. The offer is valid for a short window between March 21 and March 31, though it does not apply to online purchases.
With this update, Samsung is taking a step toward bridging the gap between different mobile ecosystems. For users who switch between Android and iPhone devices, the ability to share files effortlessly could significantly improve everyday convenience.
