Samsung Rolls Out Major Beta Update for Galaxy S23 Series in India

Latest One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update improves performance fixes call Bluetooth and camera issues while enhancing system stability and security for Galaxy S23 users enrolled in beta program

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup have started receiving a fresh software update in India, bringing a wave of fixes and improvements. Samsung has released the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update, focusing primarily on refining performance rather than introducing major new features.

The update, which is over 700MB in size, also includes the April 2026 security patch. It is currently available for users enrolled in the beta testing program, with a gradual rollout expected across eligible devices. For many, this release comes as a welcome fix to several persistent issues reported in the earlier beta version.

One of the most noticeable improvements addresses problems during phone calls. Some users had reported the screen going black unexpectedly, making it difficult to manage calls. The new update resolves this issue, along with glitches related to the proximity sensor that were affecting usability.

Bluetooth connectivity has also been stabilized. Instances of sudden disconnections or crashes have been reduced, improving the experience for those who rely on wireless audio devices and accessories. Camera performance has seen fixes as well, particularly for users recording 4K HDR videos where visual artifacts like green lines were occasionally appearing.

Beyond these fixes, the update brings general system optimization. Apps are expected to launch faster, while multitasking and scrolling should feel smoother. Reports suggest that touch responsiveness has also been improved, addressing concerns around multi touch performance seen in earlier builds.

Security remains another key focus. With the latest patch integrated, devices gain better protection against emerging threats, offering users more confidence in day to day usage. Stability improvements also mean fewer crashes and a more reliable overall experience.

Users who are part of the beta program can install the update by heading to the software update section in device settings and selecting download and install. Those who have not yet received it may need to wait, as the rollout is being completed in phases.

With this update, Samsung appears to be prioritizing user feedback, refining the experience for its flagship devices while preparing for a more stable final release in the near future.
