The much anticipated Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G is now available for purchase in India, with its first sale officially live on Flipkart from February 20. Marketed as the worlds slimmest 5G smartphone to feature an 8000mAh battery, the device aims to attract users who want extended battery life without compromising on style or comfort.
Despite housing a massive battery, the handset measures just 7.42mm in thickness and weighs 192 grams. Tecno claims that a single full charge can deliver up to 48.1 hours of calling time and as much as 1133 hours of standby, which translates to nearly 47 days. The phone supports 45W wired fast charging and comes bundled with a compatible charger in the box, reducing the need for additional purchases.
In terms of pricing, the base 8GB plus 128GB variant is listed at Rs 27999, while the 8GB plus 256GB model is priced at Rs 29999. Buyers can choose from Storm Titanium, Melting Silver and Mystic Purple color options. As part of introductory offers, customers using select bank cards can avail discounts of up to Rs 3000, further enhancing the value proposition.
On the display front, the Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G features a 6.78 inch Full HD Plus curved AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel offers a 93.18 percent screen to body ratio and peak brightness of 4500 nits, ensuring clarity even under bright sunlight. For added durability, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and the device carries an SGS 5 star drop resistance rating.
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset paired with ARM G610 MC2 GPU. The device runs on Android 16 based HiOS 16 and supports up to 256GB onboard storage. With virtual RAM expansion, users can extend memory up to 16GB for smoother multitasking. Tecno has also promised software update support for up to three years. The phone is promoted as the first triple chipset smartphone and is said to support 20 5G bands, expanding its network compatibility.
Photography duties are handled by a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor supported by a 2MP secondary lens. On the front, a 13MP camera caters to selfies and video calls.
