Vivo Begins Android 16 Rollout for Vivo T3 5G Bringing Fresh Life to a Popular Mid Range Phone
Vivo has started rolling out the Android 16 based OriginOS 6 update for Vivo T3 5G users. The update introduces new features, performance improvements, and design upgrades for the device.

Vivo has started delivering a major software upgrade for its mid range smartphone Vivo T3 5G, bringing the latest Android 16 experience to the device. The company has begun rolling out the stable version of OriginOS 6, marking a significant update that is expected to improve performance, introduce new features and refresh the overall user interface.
According to reports, the update package carries firmware version PD2346DF EX A 16.2.10.4 W30 and comes with a download size of around 4.18GB. Screenshots shared by users on the Vivo community forum confirm that the rollout has already started reaching some devices. As the update is being released gradually, it may take some time before it becomes available to all users across regions.
Vivo had earlier mentioned in its global rollout schedule that the Vivo T3 5G would receive the OriginOS 6 upgrade during the first quarter of 2026. With the rollout now underway, the company appears to be following its planned update timeline. Users who have not yet received the update notification can manually check by going to the settings menu, selecting system, and then tapping on software update.
The new update is expected to bring improvements in system stability, smoother animations and enhanced security features that come with Android 16. In addition to performance upgrades, the interface changes introduced with OriginOS 6 are likely to give the smartphone a refreshed and more modern look.
The Vivo T3 5G originally launched in India in March 2024 and shipped with Android 14 based FuntouchOS 14 out of the box. The smartphone features a 6.67 inch full HD plus AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, making it suitable for smooth scrolling and bright outdoor visibility.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. For photography, the phone includes a dual rear camera system featuring a 50 megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with optical image stabilization along with a 2 megapixel depth sensor and LED flash. On the front, the handset offers a 16 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Battery performance remains another key highlight of the device. The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 44W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge quickly during daily use. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS and USB Type C support.
Meanwhile, other smartphones in the Vivo T3 lineup such as Vivo T3X 5G and Vivo T3 Pro are also expected to receive the stable update soon. Some users have already reported access to trial versions of the new software. These trial builds allow selected users to test upcoming features before the wider public rollout, although they may occasionally contain minor bugs or slightly affect battery performance.
With Android 16 now arriving on the Vivo T3 5G, the update is expected to extend the device’s lifespan and deliver a more refined software experience for existing users.
