Vivo expands its T series lineup with the new T5 featuring a huge battery waterproof design capable cameras smooth display and reliable performance for everyday smartphone users.

Vivo has introduced the new Vivo T5 in selected global markets, strengthening its growing T series smartphone portfolio. Positioned in the mid range segment, the latest device joins the existing T5 lineup and arrives with a combination of long battery life, water resistance and capable hardware aimed at everyday users.

One of the standout features of the Vivo T5 is its massive 7200mAh battery. As smartphone users continue to demand longer battery life, Vivo has focused heavily on endurance with this model. The large battery is paired with 44W wired fast charging support, allowing users to spend less time connected to a charger and more time using their device throughout the day.

The phone is also designed to handle challenging conditions. Vivo claims the T5 comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering protection against dust and water. A particularly interesting addition is its ability to support underwater photography, allowing users to capture images in environments where many standard smartphones would struggle.

For photography enthusiasts, the Vivo T5 features a dual rear camera setup led by a 50 megapixel primary sensor. The main camera is supported by a secondary 2 megapixel sensor that helps with depth and additional imaging functions. On the front, users get a 32 megapixel selfie camera designed for video calls and social media photography. An LED flash is also included to assist with low light shooting conditions.

The smartphone runs on Android 16 based OriginOS 6 and offers a clean and modern software experience. Vivo has equipped the device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 processor built on a 6nm architecture. The chipset combines efficiency and performance cores to deliver smooth day to day operation, whether users are browsing, streaming content, communicating or managing productivity tasks.

Supporting the processor is 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. This combination provides sufficient memory for multitasking while offering ample storage space for apps, photos, videos and documents.

On the front, the Vivo T5 features a 6.75 inch HD Plus LCD display. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, making scrolling and animations appear smoother than traditional displays. Vivo also claims peak brightness levels of up to 1250 nits, helping improve visibility in brighter environments.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1 and a USB Type C port. The device also supports multiple satellite navigation systems, ensuring reliable location tracking across different regions. Additional hardware features include an infrared blaster, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and side mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

The Vivo T5 is currently available in a single configuration offering 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It has been launched in Black and Gold color options, giving buyers a choice between classic and premium finishes.

In terms of design, the smartphone maintains a modern appearance while housing its exceptionally large battery. Despite the high capacity power unit, Vivo has managed to keep the device reasonably slim. The phone weighs 219 grams and offers a comfortable in hand experience considering its battery size.

With its focus on battery endurance, waterproof durability, capable cameras and smooth display performance, the Vivo T5 aims to attract users who want a dependable smartphone for daily use. The combination of long lasting power and practical features could make it an appealing option in the competitive mid range smartphone market.
