Xiaomi is expected to strengthen its premium smartphone portfolio in India with the upcoming launch of the Xiaomi 17T series. According to recent leaks, the company could introduce two new models, Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, before the end of May 2026. The upcoming devices are already generating strong buzz among smartphone enthusiasts because of their high end specifications and flagship level features.
Reports shared by tipster Yogesh Brar suggest that Xiaomi may officially unveil the new smartphones in India on May 28, 2026. While the company has not confirmed the launch date yet, leaks indicate that Xiaomi is aiming to compete aggressively in the premium smartphone segment with these devices.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to arrive with more advanced hardware and display technology. It could feature a large 6.83 inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, offering smoother visuals for gaming and multimedia use. The device is also rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, which may deliver flagship grade performance for heavy multitasking and demanding applications.
The standard Xiaomi 17T may also come with impressive specifications. Leaks suggest the smartphone could feature a 6.59 inch 1.5K AMOLED display along with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is likely to use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. This combination is expected to provide smooth everyday performance and efficient gaming capabilities.
Camera performance is likely to be one of the key highlights of the Xiaomi 17T. The smartphone is rumored to include a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50 megapixel primary sensor, a 50 megapixel telephoto lens and a 12 megapixel ultra wide camera. These camera upgrades may help users capture detailed photos and improved zoom shots in different lighting conditions.
Battery capacity is another area where Xiaomi appears to be focusing heavily. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to pack a large 6500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. On the other hand, the Pro variant may support even faster 100W charging technology, although its exact battery size is still unknown.
In terms of pricing, leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 17T could launch in India with a starting price of around Rs 74,999. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17T Pro may enter the market at a price above Rs 90,000, placing it among premium flagship smartphones available in the country.
Xiaomi has been expanding its smartphone lineup rapidly over the past few months, and the arrival of the 17T series could further strengthen the company’s position in India’s high end smartphone market. More official details are expected to surface in the coming days as the rumored launch date gets closer.
