Xiaomi Increases Prices of Popular Redmi Smartphones in India
Rising component and memory costs are pushing smartphone brands to revise pricing as Xiaomi joins Realme and OnePlus in making several popular 5G smartphones more expensive for Indian buyers

Xiaomi has revised the prices of two of its popular Redmi smartphones in India, adding to the growing list of brands increasing device costs in recent weeks. The company has raised prices of the Redmi Note 15 SE and Redmi A7 Pro 5G models, with some variants becoming costlier by as much as Rs 3000.
Industry experts believe increasing memory and component costs are forcing smartphone manufacturers to adjust pricing across different segments. Recently, brands like Realme and OnePlus also increased prices of several smartphones in the Indian market.
The Redmi Note 15 SE has received one of the biggest price revisions in Xiaomi’s lineup. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, earlier available for Rs 19,999, is now priced at Rs 22,999. Similarly, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model has gone up from Rs 21,999 to Rs 24,999. The top end 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version now costs Rs 26,999 instead of Rs 23,999.
Xiaomi has also increased prices of the Redmi A7 Pro 5G smartphone. The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant has become Rs 2500 more expensive and is now priced at Rs 14,999. The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version has also received the same increase and now sells for Rs 15,999.
The updated prices have already been reflected on product listings and online retail platforms. Buyers planning to purchase these smartphones will now need to spend significantly more compared to the original launch pricing.
Meanwhile, Realme has also revised pricing for its P4 Lite 5G smartphone. The 4GB and 64GB variant now costs Rs 14,999 after a price increase, while higher storage variants have also become more expensive by up to Rs 2000.
OnePlus recently joined the trend by increasing prices of the Nord CE 6 series smartphones in India. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite lineup saw notable price hikes across all variants, with the top storage model now selling close to Rs 29,000.
The sudden rise in smartphone prices is creating concern among budget conscious consumers, especially those planning to upgrade to 5G devices. Market analysts believe brands may continue revising prices if global component and production costs remain high in the coming months.
