In a major push towards digital governance, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has set a clear deadline to bring every government service online by December this year. The move aims to reduce the need for citizens to visit offices and simplify access through digital platforms.
During a detailed review meeting held in Amaravati, the Chief Minister assessed the performance of the Real Time Governance Society and urged officials to accelerate the use of technology across departments. He emphasized that integrating all services into the WhatsApp based Mana Mitra system would make governance more accessible and efficient for the public.
Officials informed that more than 1035 services are already being delivered through WhatsApp governance. Since its launch, around 54 lakh citizens have utilized nearly 1.78 crore services, showing strong public adoption. Training programs have also been conducted to help over 24 lakh people understand how to access these services digitally.
Alongside governance reforms, the Chief Minister reviewed progress on the ambitious drone city project in Kurnool. Authorities confirmed that the master plan has been finalized and land allocation has been completed for eight companies. These firms are expected to begin construction soon. Chandrababu Naidu instructed that the first phase of the project must be completed by July, calling it a landmark initiative for the state’s technology sector.
The meeting also focused on strengthening surveillance and emergency response systems. Officials highlighted the effectiveness of CCTV networks in controlling crime and solving cases quickly. The Chief Minister suggested integrating private CCTV camera data with government systems to expand coverage and improve monitoring.
He further directed that satellite data should be linked with the Real Time Governance platform to enable quicker responses to disasters and emergencies. Referring to recent forest fire incidents, he noted that timely satellite inputs could significantly enhance response speed and preparedness.
Chandrababu Naidu also stressed the importance of proactive governance by using real time data to identify and resolve issues before they escalate. Citing recent fuel supply concerns, he urged officials to rely on technology driven monitoring systems to prevent such disruptions in the future.
With a strong focus on digital transformation, the state government is aiming to create a seamless and citizen friendly governance model powered by advanced technology.
