Andhra Pradesh is taking a major step toward future technologies, with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announcing an ambitious plan to train 45 lakh people in artificial intelligence quantum computing and advanced data security.

The announcement coincided with the launch of India first quantum reference facility in Amaravati, marking a significant milestone in the state technology journey. The facility has been designed to provide open access to researchers students and industry experts, encouraging innovation and collaboration.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister emphasized that quantum computing will play a defining role in shaping the future. He noted that emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and quantum systems will transform sectors such as healthcare agriculture logistics and defense through advanced solutions and faster processing capabilities.

The newly launched infrastructure includes quantum hardware testbeds and advanced research systems set up at leading academic and research institutions. These facilities are expected to support experimentation and development of indigenous quantum technologies within the country.

Chandrababu Naidu highlighted that the initiative aims to reduce dependence on foreign technology by building strong domestic capabilities. He described the project as a major step toward making India self reliant in strategic and deep technology sectors.

The government is also focusing on creating a broader innovation ecosystem by linking education research and industry. Plans are underway to expand digital infrastructure including artificial intelligence facilities and data centers across key cities such as Visakhapatnam.

He further stated that Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself as a hub for next generation technologies with projects like space city drone city and semiconductor manufacturing zones being developed in different regions. These efforts are part of a long term vision to boost economic growth and technological leadership.

Officials revealed that the quantum facilities were developed in collaboration with premier institutions including Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Indian Institute of Science and defense research organizations ensuring strong scientific backing.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that initiatives like quantum valley and skill development programs will generate new opportunities for youth and entrepreneurs. He also stressed the importance of startups and innovation driven growth as part of the state future roadmap.

With global investments and large scale infrastructure projects in progress Andhra Pradesh is aiming to emerge as a leader in advanced technologies while creating a skilled workforce ready for the digital future.
