Telangana’s industrial expansion received a fresh push as Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu inaugurated a state of the art manufacturing unit of Baker Hughes in Siddipet district.
The facility, set up at the Azad Centre of Excellence and Innovation Center inside the TGIIC Industrial Park at Tuniki Bollaram in Mulugu Mandal, spans 7600 square meters. It is designed as an exclusive lean manufacturing unit aimed at producing high precision components for the company’s Industrial and Energy Technology division.
With operations in more than 120 countries, Baker Hughes is a global player in energy technology, covering sectors such as oilfield services, industrial solutions, and digital innovation. The new unit in Telangana marks a significant addition to its global manufacturing network.
Officials said the facility will focus on advanced engineering and precision manufacturing, helping strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem. It also reflects Telangana’s growing appeal as a destination for global investments in high technology manufacturing.
The project is expected to create employment for over 230 skilled professionals, contributing to local job creation while supporting specialized talent development in the region.
Speaking at the inauguration, the minister highlighted that such investments reinforce Telangana’s position in the global manufacturing map and promote the vision of building a strong Made in Telangana brand.
The launch of the Baker Hughes facility comes at a time when the state is actively promoting innovation driven industries, aiming to combine infrastructure, skilled workforce, and policy support to attract international companies.
With this addition, Siddipet continues to emerge as an important industrial hub, reflecting Telangana’s broader strategy to drive economic growth through advanced manufacturing and global partnerships.
