CM Revanth Reddy Orders Collectors to Spend Ten Days in Villages Every Month

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy instructed district collectors to spend more time among people and directly understand local problems. He said collectors must tour villages for at least ten days every month and actively monitor government programmes.
The directions were issued during a joint conference with district collectors and senior officials at the Secretariat. The Chief Minister announced a ninety nine day action plan under the Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika programme that will run from March six to June twelve.
Revanth Reddy told officials that IAS officers represent the eyes and ears of the government. He asked them to regularly visit schools hospitals and villages to assess the delivery of public services and welfare schemes.
The Chief Minister also warned that strict action would be taken against sand mafia and illegal mining activities. He said collectors and superintendents of police would face suspension if such activities are ignored in their districts.
During the meeting he directed collectors to recover rice worth three thousand nine hundred crore rupees from millers who diverted government grain. He also asked officials to closely monitor corruption fake outsourcing employees and misuse of public funds.
Revanth Reddy encouraged collectors to promote solar motors for agriculture pump sets and spread awareness about renewable energy in villages. He said the use of solar energy can reduce electricity costs for farmers and help increase rural income.
The Chief Minister also emphasised quality education and nutrition in government schools. He instructed collectors to visit schools once every week and share the midday meal with students to personally check the quality of food and facilities.
Officials were told that their performance will be reviewed again in June and rewards will be given based on their work. The Chief Minister stressed that effective field level governance is the only way to solve people’s problems and strengthen public trust in the administration.
