Formula E Car Race Case Brings ACB Summons to KTR

The Formula E car race case has taken a fresh turn after the ACB Court issued summons to KTR and other accused officials directing them to appear before the court on July 31.

The Formula E car race case witnessed a major development after the ACB Court issued summons to BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao. The court directed him to appear for the hearing scheduled on July 31. Along with KTR, summons were also served to IAS officer Arvind Kumar, former HMDA Chief Engineer BLN Reddy and sports consultant Kiran Malleswar Rao.

According to the ACB charge sheet, KTR has been named as A1 in the case linked to the Formula E race conducted in 2023. Investigators alleged that nearly Rs 55 crore was transferred to a foreign company in violation of established rules and procedures.

The court action has intensified political attention around the Formula E race issue, which has remained under discussion for several months. Officials named in the case have now been asked to appear before the court as the investigation moves forward.

The case revolves around alleged financial irregularities connected to the organisation of the Formula E car race event in Hyderabad. The ACB charge sheet reportedly details the flow of funds and the role of the accused officials in approving the transactions.
