Karnataka Minister D Sudhakar Passes Away After Illness
Senior Karnataka Congress leader and minister D Sudhakar died in Bengaluru after battling a severe lung infection, leaving political leaders and supporters mourning his sudden demise.

D Sudhakar, Karnataka’s Minister for Planning and Statistics, passed away early Sunday morning while undergoing treatment in Bengaluru. He was 66 years old.
According to hospital officials, the senior Congress leader had been suffering from a serious lung infection for the past two months. He was receiving treatment at KIMS Hospital when his condition reportedly worsened.
Doctors confirmed that Sudhakar died at around 3.15 am on Sunday. The official medical bulletin was issued by Dr R Chinnadurai, Medical Director of the hospital.
D Sudhakar was considered one of the senior leaders in the Karnataka Congress party and represented the Hiriyur constituency in Chitradurga district as an MLA. Over the years, he built a strong political presence through constituency development activities and active involvement in party affairs.
News of his death triggered condolences from political leaders across Karnataka. Chief Minister, cabinet colleagues, Congress leaders, and several public representatives expressed grief over the loss of a senior and experienced politician.
Supporters and party workers also remembered Sudhakar for his contribution to public service and regional development. His passing is being seen as a major loss for the Congress party in Karnataka politics.
