Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence that India will successfully navigate the challenges arising from the West Asia crisis, emphasizing the strength of coordinated action between the Centre and states.
During a virtual meeting with Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors, Modi reviewed the preparedness of states and discussed the possible impact of global developments on India’s economy and supply systems. He highlighted the importance of staying alert and working together to handle emerging challenges.
He assured leaders that the government’s key priorities remain clear, including maintaining economic stability, ensuring uninterrupted energy supply, protecting citizens’ interests, and strengthening industrial and trade networks.
Drawing from past experiences, Modi pointed out that India has handled similar global disruptions before. He recalled how coordinated efforts during the pandemic helped the country manage supply chains and maintain stability, stressing that a similar approach would be followed now.
The Prime Minister also appreciated the suggestions shared by state leaders, noting that their inputs would play a crucial role in shaping response strategies.
To further monitor the situation, the government has already activated a system for continuous review. An inter ministerial mechanism is tracking developments closely and taking timely decisions to address any concerns.
In addition, an informal group of ministers has been formed to focus on issues linked to the crisis and ensure coordinated action across departments.
Modi underlined that constant vigilance and adaptive strategies will be essential, but expressed strong confidence that Team India will overcome the situation through collective effort and planning.
