Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday praised the way young students are already thinking beyond examinations and visualising a Viksit Bharat or Developed India.

Interacting with students from across the country during the latest episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha, including participants from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, the Prime Minister said it was encouraging to see Classes 10 and 12 students connect their personal growth with national goals.

He noted that many students are already thinking about India’s journey towards development by 2047 and stressed that such aspirations must be supported by discipline in everyday life.

PM Modi explained that national progress begins with simple habits at home. He cited food wastage as an example and urged students to finish what is served on their plates, saying small individual actions can collectively save enormous resources.

Highlighting civic sense, he referred to stopping at red traffic signals as a sign of self discipline and respect for rules. Such behaviour, he said, reflects the mindset of developed nations and must become second nature.

The Prime Minister underlined that discipline is the foundation of a meaningful life and real success. Motivation may inspire momentarily but discipline is what sustains progress and purpose.

He encouraged students to treat examinations not as pressure points but as opportunities to build character skills and responsibility that last well beyond academics.

The session which is part of the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha saw participation from crores of students nationwide and was broadcast across multiple platforms.
