Srisailam Temple Hundi Revenue Hits Record Rs 7.19 Crore in 30 Days

In a remarkable surge of devotion, the Srisailam Mallanna temple has recorded its highest ever hundi income, collecting a massive Rs 7.19 crore within just 30 days. The figures reflect a steady and strong inflow of devotees, especially during the Ugadi festival period, which drew pilgrims from Karnataka Maharashtra and several other regions including overseas visitors.

Temple authorities carried out the hundi counting process on Saturday under tight security arrangements. The counting took place in the Chandravati Kalyana Mandapam, where officials ensured transparency and systematic handling of the offerings. Executive Officer Srinivasa Rao confirmed the total cash collection as Rs 7,19,58,064 received entirely through devotees’ contributions over the past month.

Apart from cash donations, devotees also offered valuables including gold weighing 122 grams and 200 milligrams, along with 6 kilograms and 550 grams of silver. The temple also received foreign currency offerings, highlighting its global spiritual appeal. Contributions included US dollars UAE dirhams Saudi riyals Singapore dollars British pounds Malaysian ringgit Australian dollars euros Kuwait dinar Canadian dollars and New Zealand dollars.

The hundi counting exercise was conducted in the presence of the temple’s trust board members, officials from various departments, staff and dedicated volunteers known as Shiva Sevaks. Authorities noted that the record-breaking collections underline the growing faith and increasing footfall at the sacred shrine, especially during major festival occasions.
