The Telangana Assembly has concluded its budget session after ten days of deliberations, with the passage of several important bills and the approval of the Budget 2026. Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar announced the indefinite adjournment of the House following the final proceedings.
The session witnessed extensive discussions, with Assembly proceedings running for a total of 82 hours and 47 minutes. During this period, the government introduced eleven bills, out of which ten received approval from the House.
Among the significant legislations passed were the Appropriation Bill 2026, the Platform Based Gig Workers Bill 2026 and the Advocates Protection Bill 2026. These bills are expected to have a notable impact on governance and legal frameworks in the state.
One of the bills introduced during the session has been referred to a select committee for further review, indicating the Assembly’s approach towards detailed scrutiny of legislation.
In addition to the bills, the Assembly also approved three government resolutions, reflecting a wide range of policy decisions taken during the session.
