The Telangana Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has approved a series of major decisions aimed at strengthening development, governance, and public infrastructure across the state. Several proposals linked to future planning and public welfare received clearance during the meeting.

One of the key highlights of the discussions was the focus on preparations for the Godavari Pushkar event scheduled for 2027. The government has decided to begin planning well in advance with the objective of conducting the event on a grand scale while ensuring convenience and better facilities for devotees.

The Cabinet approved a budget allocation of Rs 1000 crore for arrangements connected to the event. The funds are expected to support the construction of ghats, development of infrastructure, and the creation of necessary facilities for pilgrims. Officials also approved an initial release of Rs 300 crore to begin work immediately.

The meeting also gave importance to sectors linked to national security and education. Government land in Karimnagar district has been approved for the establishment of facilities related to Assam Rifles, BSF, and CISF group centers. The decision is expected to support institutional development and strengthen related infrastructure.

Employment generation and strengthening public services were also part of the agenda. The Cabinet approved new posts in education and emergency service sectors, including positions for a government degree college and a newly proposed fire station.

Officials believe these measures could improve educational standards, strengthen public safety systems, and create additional employment opportunities while supporting long term development plans in the state.
