In a significant development in the movie piracy case involving iBOMMA Ravi the Telangana High Court on Tuesday granted him bail with stringent conditions aimed at ensuring cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
As part of the bail order the court directed Ravi to surrender his passport immediately and strictly barred him from leaving the country without prior judicial permission. He has also been instructed to appear before the CCS police every day as mandated by the court.
The court placed a complete restriction on Ravi’s personal use of the internet. It clarified that he cannot access any online services on his own and may do so only in exceptional situations after obtaining advance approval from the police authorities.
These conditions were imposed considering the seriousness of the allegations and to prevent any interference with the investigation process. The court made it clear that any violation of the bail terms would invite strict legal consequences.
The order marks a key turn in the case while keeping close monitoring measures firmly in place as the probe continues.
