The Telangana Police Department is moving towards a stronger technology based policing system with plans to integrate advanced digital tools and artificial intelligence into day to day operations. Director General of Police CV Anand said the initiative aims to improve crime investigation, maintain law and order, and increase overall policing efficiency across the state.

As part of this effort, a permanent technology team has been set up under the DGP office to handle and strengthen major digital platforms used by the department. Officials believe that bringing various systems under a unified structure will make police operations faster and more effective.

The department plans to connect key platforms including the Telangana Police official website, Hawk Eye, CCTNS, and HRMS so they can function within a single coordinated framework. This move is expected to streamline data access and improve communication among different wings of the police force.

CV Anand also said the department wants to encourage young police personnel who have a strong interest in technology. These officers will be included in the new team, giving them an opportunity to learn emerging AI systems and actively contribute to developing future digital solutions.

A special core team consisting of five IPS officers has also been formed to monitor and complete important technology projects. Police officials believe the use of AI and modern systems will help create a smarter and more efficient policing model in the state.
