Political uncertainty in Tamil Nadu appears to have ended with TVK chief Vijay receiving approval to form the new government in the state. After several days of dramatic political developments, the actor turned politician is now set to take oath as the next Chief Minister on Sunday afternoon.

The swearing in ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Nehru Indoor Stadium at 3 pm. The decision came after Governor R N Ravi gave formal permission for government formation following discussions with Vijay and alliance leaders.

Earlier in the day, Vijay reportedly faced uncertainty after the Governor initially denied him an appointment despite support letters from alliance parties. However, the situation changed later, and the Governor eventually invited him for discussions at the Raj Bhavan.
Vijay arrived with leaders from supporting parties and submitted signatures of 120 MLAs backing his claim to form the government. Along with 107 MLAs from his own party, he secured support from Congress, CPI, CPM, VCK, and IUML legislators to cross the majority mark.

The developments brought an end to days of suspense in Tamil Nadu politics, where rapid political changes and negotiations had created intense public attention. Supporters of Vijay have already begun celebrations ahead of the oath taking ceremony, viewing it as a major political milestone for the TVK leader.
