Former Andhra Pradesh minister Ambati Rambabu received relief on Monday after a special mobile court granted him bail in a case related to alleged inappropriate remarks against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

The court, while allowing the bail petition, rejected the police request seeking custodial interrogation, stating that further custody was not required in this matter. The order brought temporary relief to the former minister, who has been facing legal proceedings over the controversial comments.

However, Ambati Rambabu will continue to remain in judicial remand in connection with a separate PT warrant case. Court officials clarified that the bail applies only to the remarks case and does not impact other ongoing legal matters.

Legal experts noted that while the bail eases immediate pressure, the former minister will have to pursue relief separately in the pending case as investigations continue.
