Nothing Phone 4a Benchmark Leak Confirms Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and 12GB RAM

Upcoming midrange device from Nothing surfaces on Geekbench with upgraded chipset and high RAM variant as company prepares broader 4a lineup launch amid possible price increase concerns

Nothing is steadily expanding its smartphone portfolio, and fresh benchmark details have now shed light on what buyers can expect from the upcoming Nothing Phone 4a. Just weeks after the company confirmed the new series through its CEO Carl Pei and teased fresh color options, the standard model has appeared on Geekbench, offering the clearest look yet at its core specifications.

According to the benchmark listing, the Nothing Phone 4a will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. This marks a step up from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 used in its predecessor. The chipset features an octa core setup with one performance core clocked at 2.71GHz, three cores running at 2.40GHz and four efficiency cores operating at 1.80GHz. Graphics duties are handled by the Adreno 810 GPU, pointing to a capable midrange performance package aimed at smooth everyday use and reliable gaming.

The tested unit on Geekbench was paired with 12GB of RAM, suggesting that Nothing is positioning the device strongly in the competitive midrange segment. However, the company may also introduce variants with lower RAM configurations at launch to cater to different price brackets. The listing further reveals that the phone runs on Android 16, aligning it with the latest software experience out of the box.

In AI benchmark tests, the device recorded a single precision score of 707, a high precision score of 1077 and a quantized score of 1265. While synthetic scores do not always tell the full story, they indicate that the Nothing Phone 4a should deliver stable performance for daily multitasking, AI driven features and media consumption.

That said, the Geekbench appearance leaves several questions unanswered. There is still no official information regarding the display size, camera setup, battery capacity or charging speeds. Those details are expected to surface closer to launch. What is clear for now is that Nothing is pairing a modern midrange chipset with generous memory, a combination that could appeal to power users who do not want to step into flagship pricing territory.

The Nothing Phone 4a is expected to launch alongside a Phone 4a Pro variant and a new audio product reportedly called Headphone a. Together, these launches suggest that Nothing is aiming to strengthen its ecosystem rather than introduce a standalone device.

However, pricing could become a talking point. Previous reports have indicated that upcoming Nothing smartphones may see a price increase of up to 30 percent, potentially due to DRAM supply constraints. If that happens, the Phone 4a may enter the market at a higher bracket than its predecessor, changing its value proposition.

While an official launch date has not yet been announced, industry chatter points to a possible unveiling in March. Until then, the benchmark leak offers an early glimpse into what could be one of the more competitive midrange releases of the season.
