Indian national cricket team kept its golden run intact in the T20 World Cup, scripting a record tenth consecutive victory with a commanding win over Namibia national cricket team in a Group A league match on Thursday.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat, India piled up an imposing 209 for nine in their twenty overs. The innings was powered by an aggressive knock from Ishan Kishan, who smashed sixty one off just twenty four balls, and a composed yet destructive fifty two from Hardik Pandya. Namibia managed to restrict further damage through disciplined spin bowling in the middle overs but the total proved far beyond reach.

Chasing a steep target, Namibia’s top order showed brief resistance before India’s bowlers took complete control. Varun Chakravarthy turned the game decisively with his variations, returning excellent figures of three wickets for just seven runs. Support from Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya ensured Namibia were bundled out for 116 in eighteen point two overs.

This victory also marked India’s first two hundred plus total in the tournament since the 2024 T20 World Cup and reinforced their status as strong title contenders.
