Hyderabad to Goa Greenfield Highway Set to Cut Travel Time to Eight Hours
A new greenfield highway approved under Bharatmala will slash Hyderabad to Goa road travel time to eight hours boosting tourism freight movement and regional connectivity with a four lane access controlled corridor.

Road travel between Hyderabad and Goa is set for a major transformation as the Centre gives the green signal to a greenfield highway. Once completed the journey that currently takes up to eighteen hours is expected to reduce to just eight hours offering a faster safer option for travellers.
The project is being taken up under the Bharatmala Pariyojana with land acquisition moving at pace. Officials said acquisition between Belagavi and Raichur has been completed and civil works have already begun in parts of the corridor.
Designed to connect Panaji Belagavi Raichur and Hyderabad the highway will serve as an alternative to the existing longer route. The access controlled four lane road will improve traffic flow and cut distance by nearly one hundred fifty kilometres bringing down fatigue and fuel costs for motorists.
With an estimated investment of twelve thousand crore rupees the corridor is expected to boost tourism to Goa beaches and improve freight movement across Telangana and Karnataka. Built using the HAM model the highway is projected to strengthen logistics support attract industries and create economic activity along the route.
Officials believe the new corridor will not only halve travel time but also improve road safety and reliability for daily commuters tourists and transporters making Hyderabad Goa connectivity a game changer.
