Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced plans to promote night tourism along the Musi River in Hyderabad as part of the ambitious Musi Riverfront development project. The initiative is expected to create employment opportunities while improving the city economic activity and tourism appeal.

Speaking during the inauguration of Eco Hill Park at Kothwalguda the Chief Minister said the government intends to transform the riverbanks into vibrant public spaces. He explained that night tourism facilities along the Musi River will attract visitors and contribute to the growth of local businesses and services.

On the same occasion Revanth Reddy also laid the foundation stone for the Radial Road Two interchange which will connect to the Budwel Layout. The project is expected to enhance road connectivity and strengthen urban infrastructure in the surrounding region.

The Chief Minister defended the Musi Riverfront project amid criticism from opposition parties including Bharat Rashtra Samithi and Bharatiya Janata Party. Critics have claimed that the project may lead to displacement of residents living along the riverbanks.

Responding to these concerns Revanth Reddy said development initiatives sometimes create challenges but assured that the government will support those affected. He promised proper rehabilitation facilities and assistance for families who may lose land or homes due to development projects.

The Chief Minister stressed that the Musi River has long suffered from pollution and neglect. According to him no one wishes to live in such unhealthy conditions and the government is committed to restoring the river environment while beautifying the city.

Revanth Reddy also highlighted the larger vision for Hyderabad development. He said the government is studying international models of urban planning and sending public representatives abroad to understand best practices that can be adopted for the city.

Drawing a comparison with earlier development projects he recalled that the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad once faced opposition but later became one of the most valuable assets for the region.

The Chief Minister further revealed plans for Shamshabad to become a future hub for bullet train connectivity linking Hyderabad with cities such as Bengaluru Amaravati and Chennai.

He added that Hyderabad continues to attract global interest with several international companies exploring opportunities to invest in the city. According to him the government vision is to transform Hyderabad into a world class city that can compete with major global urban centers.

Revanth Reddy also spoke about the historical legacy of the city mentioning landmarks such as Golconda Fort Osmania Hospital and the State Assembly building. He said Hyderabad rich heritage combined with modern infrastructure can make it one of the finest cities in the world.

At the same time he acknowledged that encroachments and garbage accumulation have affected parts of the city over the years. The Musi Riverfront project and other urban initiatives aim to restore Hyderabad beauty and improve the quality of life for residents.
