Heavy Devotee Rush Continues at Tirumala with Long Waiting Time for Darshan

Tirumala continues to witness a heavy influx of devotees seeking the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. Temple authorities reported large crowds on March 9 2026 with thousands of pilgrims waiting patiently in queues for darshan.
According to the latest updates from Tirumala, around 31 compartments are currently filled with devotees waiting for free darshan. Due to the heavy rush, pilgrims opting for Sarva Darshan are expected to wait between 8 to 12 hours before they can enter the temple for darshan.
Devotees who have obtained Sarva Darshan tokens are likely to complete their darshan within 4 to 6 hours. Meanwhile, those choosing the 300 rupees special entry darshan are experiencing a waiting period of about 3 to 4 hours.
Temple records show that a large number of devotees visited the shrine on the previous day. A total of 77879 pilgrims had darshan of the deity. Among them, 25520 devotees offered their hair as part of their religious vow at the temple.
The temple also received strong financial contributions from devotees. The hundi collection for the day stood at 4.19 crore rupees, reflecting the deep faith and devotion of pilgrims visiting Tirumala from different parts of the country.
