A tragic incident has shaken Bhadradri Kothagudem district just a day before the start of the Class 10 board examinations. A fifteen year old student ended his life at his residence creating deep sorrow among family members and the local community.
The incident took place in Ashok Nagar of Lakshmidevipalli area where the student identified as Appam Nithish reportedly died by suicide at his home. According to local reports the boy took the extreme step when no one was present in the house.
The heartbreaking event occurred just hours before the beginning of the Class 10 examinations scheduled to start on Saturday March fourteen. While thousands of students across the state were preparing for their exams the shocking news left residents in the area stunned.
Nithish was studying at a private school in Lakshmidevipalli. His parents said they believed their son was studying at home as the exams were approaching. When they later discovered the incident the family was left devastated and struggling to understand what led to the tragedy.
Family members alleged that their son had been emotionally disturbed after the school management shifted him from one branch to another. According to the parents the sudden transfer from the K1 branch to the K2 branch deeply affected the student and caused mental stress.
They further claimed that the behaviour of the school principal and teachers had also contributed to their son’s distress. The parents demanded strict action against the school authorities saying the branch change damaged his confidence and pushed him into emotional trauma.
The tragic Class 10 student suicide has once again highlighted the pressure faced by students during examination periods. Schools and parents often advise students to stay calm and avoid stress during exams but incidents like this remind everyone about the emotional challenges young students sometimes silently carry.
Local residents and education observers say the incident should serve as a reminder to create a more supportive environment for students especially during crucial academic periods.
