Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has launched the first phase of a major expansion project for the Bhadrachalam temple, marking a significant step towards improving facilities for devotees.

The project, estimated at Rs 351 crore, aims to upgrade temple infrastructure, enhance riverfront ghats, and provide better amenities for the increasing number of pilgrims visiting the sacred site.

The foundation laying ceremony was attended by several senior leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and other ministers, along with public representatives from different levels.

Officials stated that the project is designed to handle the growing footfall at the temple and ensure a more comfortable and organized experience for devotees.

Later in the day, the Chief Minister participated in the Sri Rama Navami celebrations held at Mithila Stadium. During the Thirukalyana Mahotsavam, he offered silk robes and pearls to the deity on behalf of the state government.

The expansion project reflects the government’s focus on preserving religious heritage while also modernizing infrastructure to meet future needs.

Authorities believe the development will not only improve facilities but also boost tourism and the local economy around the temple town.
