The weather department has issued a fresh alert for Telangana, forecasting rainfall across the state for the next three days, offering relief from the ongoing heat.
According to officials, the change in weather is due to a system formed over the Bay of Bengal, which is expected to influence conditions in both Telugu states. Several districts are likely to witness rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Authorities have issued alerts for multiple regions, warning people to stay cautious as thunderstorms and lightning strikes are possible in some areas. Strong winds ranging between 30 to 50 kilometers per hour may also occur during this period.
Districts including Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Warangal, Khammam, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal and several others are expected to receive rainfall. Residents have been advised to take precautions, especially during storm activity.
In Hyderabad, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy, with chances of light to moderate rain during evening or night hours. Recent showers in parts of the city have already brought temporary relief to residents.
Despite the rain forecast, temperatures remain high during the day. Several areas recorded temperatures close to 39 degrees Celsius, making conditions uncomfortable for people.
Weather officials have cautioned that heat intensity may continue in the coming days along with possible heatwaves. However, the expected rainfall is likely to ease conditions slightly and bring some respite from the scorching heat.
The combination of heat and sudden rain has created fluctuating weather patterns, and authorities have urged the public to stay alert and prepared.
