Several parts of Andhra Pradesh are set to experience intense heatwave conditions today, with authorities issuing a warning for multiple districts.

According to the State Disaster Management Authority, severe heatwave conditions are likely in 16 mandals, while around 68 mandals may witness moderate heatwave impact. Officials have highlighted that temperatures are expected to rise significantly, especially in Rayalaseema regions.

Daytime temperatures in some areas could touch between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius, increasing the risk of heat related health issues. Districts including Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Guntur, Palnadu, and others are expected to be affected.

The situation is likely to continue into the next day as well, with forecasts indicating severe heatwave conditions in 18 mandals and moderate heat in several other regions.

Authorities have advised residents to avoid stepping out during peak afternoon hours. People are encouraged to use protective measures such as wearing caps, carrying umbrellas, and choosing light cotton clothing.

Special caution has been urged for vulnerable groups including elderly people, pregnant women, and infants, as they are more susceptible to heat related illnesses.

With temperatures rising steadily, officials are closely monitoring the situation and urging citizens to remain alert and follow safety guidelines.
