A tragic highway crash in Jagtial district claimed the lives of three Intermediate students after a speeding truck collided with their motorcycle. The accident occurred near Dharmapuri on Wednesday night, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The victims were identified as Madasu Amarnath aged 17, Padala Rishwanth aged 17, and Kola Mayank aged 16. All three died instantly due to the impact of the collision, according to police officials.

The incident unfolded when a truck traveling from Mancherial attempted to overtake another vehicle at high speed. During the maneuver, the driver reportedly lost control and crashed into the oncoming motorcycle carrying the students.

Moments after hitting the bike, the truck continued forward and rammed into an autorickshaw carrying devotees from Komaram Bheem Asifabad district. The force of the collision caused the autorickshaw to overturn, injuring nine passengers.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured were transported to a nearby government hospital in 108 ambulances. Their condition is being monitored, while authorities have begun further investigation into the accident.

Police officials stated that preliminary findings point to overspeeding and negligent overtaking as the primary causes of the crash. A case has been registered, and the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post mortem examination.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety and reckless driving on national highways, where such accidents continue to claim young lives.
