Motorists travelling through Cyberabad on Saturday should plan their journeys carefully as traffic restrictions come into force around Muneerabad. The measures are being implemented in view of the launch event of a new political party by former BRS leader K. Kavitha, which is expected to attract large crowds.
According to traffic police, the advisory will remain active from early morning 5 am until 5 pm. Authorities anticipate significant movement of vehicles, including rallies and public gatherings, leading to congestion on key routes such as NH 44 and nearby internal village roads.
To manage the situation, officials have restricted entry into Muneerabad for general traffic. Only vehicles attending the political event will be allowed inside, while others will be diverted through alternate routes including Gopala Farms, Poodur Road, and further towards Kistapur and Medchal.
Traffic regulation will also be enforced at major junctions. At the Poodur Y junction, only authorised vehicles will be permitted to proceed towards the venue. Meanwhile, commuters approaching from CMR College crossroads will be redirected via Outer Ring Road service lanes towards Shamirpet to ease pressure on the main stretch.
Authorities have also imposed a strict ban on heavy vehicles entering Muneerabad roads during the advisory period. These vehicles will instead be rerouted through Kandlakoya and Outer Ring Road service roads to ensure smoother flow of traffic in the affected areas.
Police have urged commuters to avoid the Muneerabad stretch during peak hours and make use of alternative routes to prevent delays.
