Calling for a shift in priorities among young people, K T Rama Rao has urged the youth to spend more time with their parents and value the emotional bond they share. Speaking at a recent event, he reflected on how modern lifestyles are distancing families despite growing connectivity.

He pointed out that many young people today are caught up in careers, friendships, and social media, often overlooking the people who played the biggest role in shaping their lives. According to him, even a small gesture like spending time together or expressing affection can bring immense happiness to parents.

Sharing a deeply personal moment, K T Rama Rao recalled that he did not hug his father, K Chandrashekar Rao, until he was around 40 years old. He said the first hug came after a major political victory in 2015 and remains one of the most memorable moments of his life. He noted that while respect for parents is deeply rooted in culture, expressing love openly is often held back by hesitation.

He encouraged people to break that barrier and communicate their feelings more freely. Simple acts like sitting down for a conversation or offering a warm embrace can provide parents with emotional strength and reassurance, he said.

Reflecting on the pace of life, he reminded that time moves quickly and does not wait for anyone. He stressed that meaningful memories are built through moments shared with family, not through material things. His message resonated widely, with many on social media discussing the importance of reconnecting with loved ones.

He concluded by urging everyone to cherish their parents while they are still around, rather than regretting missed moments later.
